This northeast weather system that has had us at the dock since last Saturday is finally leaving. We will be back at it tomorrow. Fishing should be great – no pressure for the last week. We had a cancellation for this Sunday (6/27)- and we have a make up charter on Monday (6/28) that we still need a few for. Very few openings left between now and the end of July – Don’t miss out on some great fishing – book online www.fishinfannatic.com or give us a call (252) 473-7092

Have been so busy lately, I have fallen behind on my updates, my apologies. Offshore actions (with the exception of the weather this weekend) had been great. Lots a really big yellowfin tuna, bigeyes and some mahi. The tilefish trips have been very productive as well, with us limiting out on every trip.
Our nearshore trips have been having great luck with the spanish mackeral the past few days and looks like that will just continue to get better all summer long.
Our inshore boats have been catching quite alot this past week – puppy drum, reds, speckled trout and sheepshead.
Not matter what type of trip you are interested in, they have been putting the fish on the dock. We do have some availability for an offshore make up charter on June 24th and June 28th at this time.
We are so thankful for as busy as the season has been so far. We are staying pretty booked up. If you are wanting to get out there, get your reservations in quick! Book online at www.fishinfannatic.com or call (252) 473-7092. Tight Lines, Capt. Mark
Our weather has finally warmed up and looks to stay that way all week.
Yesterday we had Bird and the gang out with us. The weather forecast called for some rough seas, however, it luckily ended up being swells. The bite was a little later in the morning and the guys ended up with a nice catch of tuna and mahi to take home. The sharks were all over today, must have seen a couple of hundred swimming around.
Our inshore guys have been doing great on the drum and sheepshead. When the weather has cooperated, the cobia bite has been pretty good. Hopefully with the nice weather and warmer temperatures, the cobia bite will be on this week.
The calendar is filling up really quick – book your charter today! Book online at www.fishinfannatic.com or call (252) 473-7092
Today we had the pleasure of having Members of Jarhead MC – Southshore Chapter out with us. What a great group of guys and we want to thank each of them for their service to our Country.
The offshore action was great again today. We ended with a great catch of yellowfin tuna, with a 80lb kicker (and the sharks helped themselves to a few too). We also had some mahi, blackfin and skip jack tunas.
With the weather getting warmer everday, the fishing should continue to get better and better.
For those of you looking for an offshore make up charter, I do have availability for 1 on 5/21 and for 3 on 6/1. Dates are filling up quick – don’t miss out on all the fun memories and great fishing. Book online at www.fishinfannatic.com or call (252) 473-7092.
The winds have finally backed off some and the temps are on the rise – finally. We never thought Spring would show up.
Yesterday, we had an amazing group out with us. Wanted to thank Audrey and her family for spending the day with us.
The fishing has finally picked up and we had a great day with yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna and some skip jacks. Lots of meat for the freezer.
Our inshore boats have been catching some nice sheepshead, speckled trout, drum and some cobia.

This week the wind has not been our friend for offshore. Our nearshore and inshore trips have rocked it though! Our nearshore charters had a blast catching some nice big black drum. They are a fun fish with lots of fight for their size.
Our inshore guys definitely had the spotlight this week. Lots of red drum, puppy drum and the cobia showed up strong yesterday. No matter the weather, our inshore guys can usually make it happen! So, if you cannot due an offshore due to weather, consider an inshore light tackle trip – they will not disappoint.
The weather is looking a little better for a few days next week – don’t miss out – book your charters today!
Wind was blowing a little too much for offshore today, but our inshore boats had a great afternoon. We had the Thompson family from DC and our captains caught quite a few red drum, some keepers for dinner and some that did not meet the slot and went back in the water for another day. Tomorrow is still looking a bit rough for offshore, but our inshore guys can make it happen. Tuesday, however, is looking great for offshore and there should be quite a bit of action after a break for a few days.We still have a couple of spots left for our Offshore Make-Up charter on May 6th. Our summer is filling up quick, so do miss out on a great adventure while you are here on the Outer Banks – we have something for everyone!! Book online at fishinfannatic.com or call (252) 473-7092!
In the past few days we have gone from our warm Spring weather to cold and windy. With the temps dipping, it pushed in the cooler water and made fishing offshore a bit tougher than it has been for the fleet. We did manage to have some nice yellowfin and blackfin tuna and a mahi (we got that bite too on the greenstick!). Starting next Tuesday, the weather and the seas look wonderful. It will be the perfect time to head offshore – warmer waters will definitely improve the fishing.
This weather has not hurt our inshore fleet. We have had great catches of red drum, speckled trout (1 of our captains reported catching over 50 trout yesterday) and catfish. While the offshore may be too rough to get out this weekend, the inshore guys can tuck in and miss the elements – and they have been having great catches this week. May is almost full, so don’t delay! Book your charter today – online at www.fishinfannatic.com or call (252) 473-7092
It has been an interesting week of fishing! The week started off slow, we had some cold water move it and luckily it moved right on out and we ended the week with some great offshore tuna fishing. On Thursday, we had Mac and the gang out with us and it was still a little slow, but we managed to put some nice tunas in the boat. On Saturday, we had Daly and his wife, Linda out to celebrate their anniversary on the water – and the tuna bite was definitely on!
The nearshore trips this week were a little slow, luckily the water is starting to warm up and the fishing should start picking up in the upcoming weeks.
Our inshore boats had some nice drum this week along with catfish and speckled trout.
We are starting to fill up quickly for the upcoming season – don’t miss out, book your trip today. Book online at www.fishinfannatic.com or call (252) 473-7092
