Fall Tuna Fishing in the Outer Banks

Fall fishing here in the Outer Banks continues to be great!  Yesterday we had Kris and the gang from Ohio out with us.  We had an action packed day – the green stick action kept the guys busy most of the day.  We ended the day with some nice yellowfin and blackfin tunas.  It is a wonderful time of the year to be in the Outer Banks – cooler weather, less crowds and great fishing.  We have a few openings next week – call 252-473-7092 or book online www.fishinfannatic.com   Don’t miss out on all the action.

Great October Fishing Here in the Outer Banks

This month has seen some great fishing so far.  Yesterday, we had Darrell and the boys out with us. Plenty of action to keep everyone busy. Caught some yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, skip jack tuna and had a sailfish as a nice kicker. This morning we had Scott and his James out for half day inshore trip.  We had some spanish mackeral, not as hot as it has been inshore, but James got a taste for fishing and they are looking forward to their next trip – offshore.  October action had been really great with tuna and mahi- openings still available -don’t miss your chance to get in on all the fun – book today 252-473-7092

Great First Day Back

We finally were able to get back to fishing today. We definitely were blessed here in the Outer Banks not to have Hurricane Florence pay us a visit.  We just wish our friends to the south were as lucky.

We headed offshore this morning, a little bumpy, but not too bad. The greenstick action was very busy today. We ended up with a nice mix of yellowfin, blackfin and skip jack tunas today. The seas should continue to improve each day and the tuna and mahi fishing will be quite good through October. Call and book your charter today (252) 473-7092 or book online.

Back to Business

We were very blessed here in the Outer Banks this week. Hurricane Florence turned away and missed us completely. We had a little bit of rain and some wind, but nothing major. Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends to the south and west that weren’t quite as lucky. Florence however did kick up our seas and doesn’t look like we will be fishing much before Wednesday. The fishing after a storm is generally very good. Looking forward to some great tuna and mahi fishing later this week. Book your charter today and come have some fun on the water  (252) 473-7092 or you can book directly online

Great Inshore Fishing

The past few days have been really great inshore. The spanish mackeral and bluefish have been thick. On our 6 hour extended trip, we have been able to get out and find the king mackeral and a few mahi. Our offshore trips have been bringing in mahi, wahoo and blackfin tuna. Now is a great time to get out there.

Kids + Mahi = Great Day

This morning we had Peter and the kids out on our 6 hour trip.  We headed out and caught some really big blue runners (most in the 4-5 lb range).  After that, we headed out towards the north tower and ran into a nice school of dolphin.  The kids managed to catch quite a few of some really nice dolphin.  This was the first time all the kids have headed offshore and they did an awesome job catching these dolphin.

Fishing has been really good these past few days and should continue to only get better.  We have a few openings left this week and we have an offshore make-up charter on Thursday, with room for 2 more.  Call (252) 473-7092 or book online at www.fishinfannatic.com

Mahi Time

We had a wonderful day offshore today.  The water is finally starting to clear up from all the rain that we have had.  We headed out and it didn’t take too long once we were in the blue water for the mahi to appear.  After catching more than enough for some great meals, our group decided they had plenty to take with them and we headed in.  Could have filled the box with them today.

Our tile fish trip has been great lately.  We have been limiting out almost every trip.

We have a couple of openings left this week – call (252) 473-7092 or book online www.fishinfannatic.com and book your charter today.
